Thank you for being part of the founding cohort. I’m excited to share this course with you and look forward to supporting your learning as you build greater confidence recognizing dissociative experiences in clinical practice.

What Makes This Course Different?

Many dissociation trainings begin with diagnosis and theory. This course begins with recognition. Before clinicians can assess dissociation, they must learn to recognize it.

Rather than focusing on diagnostic labels, this course teaches therapists how dissociative experiences actually show up in everyday clinical practice and how clients often describe them in their own words.

The emphasis is on clinical observation, curiosity, and thoughtful conceptualization rather than memorizing criteria.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Recognize common and often-overlooked signs of dissociation
  • Understand the five dimensions assessed in the SCID-D
  • Identify how dissociation may appear alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and other familiar concerns
  • Recognize common misconceptions that contribute to missed diagnoses
  • Listen for dissociative experiences in everyday client language
  • Apply your learning through case conceptualization exercises and clinical examples
  • Develop greater confidence when dissociation may be part of the clinical picture

Consultation Enrollment FAQ

What is included in the Consultation Enrollment?

The Consultation Enrollment includes everything in the Foundations Enrollment, plus one 60-minute individual consultation with Kendyl Leasure designed to deepen your understanding of the course material and support its application to clinical practice

How do I schedule my consultation?

After purchasing the Consultation Enrollment, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Within the next few business days, you’ll be contacted using the email address associated with your course account with instructions for scheduling your consultation. You’ll be able to choose from available dates and times that fit your schedule.

When should I schedule my consultation?

You’re welcome to schedule your consultation at any point. However, many clinicians find it most beneficial to complete the course first so they can bring questions, discuss case conceptualization, and explore how to apply what they’ve learned.

How are consultations conducted?

Consultations are held one-on-one with Kendyl Leasure via FaceTime.

What can we discuss during the consultation?

Consultations are intended to deepen your understanding of the course material, answer questions about assessment and case conceptualization, and support the application of concepts to clinical practice. They are educational in nature and are not therapy, clinical supervision, or consultation involving identifiable client information.

What if I need to reschedule my consultation?

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice whenever possible so your appointment can be offered to another participant.
